Paul would not…have tolerated the middle-class captivity of the church in the Western world. He would have been as active in evangelizing the skinheads as undergraduates. he would have been as much at home talking of Christ in the bar or the open air as at the supper party. :: Michael Green on the amount of time Christians spend inside the four walls.

Excellence

Saw someone tweet this phrase this morning:

“Why do I pass on being a part of most church or leadership networks? Because I have no desire to partner with mediocrity.”

Well, its good to know he has the corner on excellence. Furthermore, I appreciate his mediocrity in not pressing others toward excellence but instead shunning them.

The irony is palpable.

The attitude if demanding ones rights remains diametrically opposed to Christ’s teaching…On a broader level, the whole concept of relinquishing ones rights seems anathema in a culture immersed in asserting them.
