Excellence

Saw someone tweet this phrase this morning:

“Why do I pass on being a part of most church or leadership networks? Because I have no desire to partner with mediocrity.”

Well, its good to know he has the corner on excellence. Furthermore, I appreciate his mediocrity in not pressing others toward excellence but instead shunning them.

The irony is palpable.

The attitude if demanding ones rights remains diametrically opposed to Christ’s teaching…On a broader level, the whole concept of relinquishing ones rights seems anathema in a culture immersed in asserting them.
